Get Involved – We Need More Local People

Anything you can do will make a difference

If you are likely to vote for Reform UK, there are many ways you can help us bring positive change to local government. Every contribution - large or small - strengthens our local effort. Just being in contact helps.

We Need More Local Candidates

We still need more people willing to stand as candidates for town, parish or borough councils. If you are interested, please read more on this website or email Malcolm, our Chair, to discuss whether it might suit you.

OR Just Do It - Apply here to be a candidate

Support Your Local Branch

Campaigning can be expensive and our Branch is run entirely by volunteers, funded by local people. If you would like to donate to the local Reform UK Bracknell Branch, please use this link or the button in the page header.

Note: Donations made through the national Reform UK website do not fund your local Branch.

Attend Our Events

You are very welcome to attend our fundraising events and public meetings, which are listed on this website.

Volunteer Your Time or Skills

If you have time, energy, or particular skills that could help us, please register your contact details as a Branch Volunteer using the form below.
(Read more about Branch Volunteers on the
About page.)

Why Register Locally?

Registering as a Member or Supporter on the national Reform UK website helps the national effort, but - quite properly - it does not give your local Branch permission to contact you personally.

Registering as a Branch Volunteer allows us to hold your contact details locally. This gives us the legal basis for our Officers and authorised volunteers to contact you, as described in the Privacy Notice below. You can opt out at any time.

For administrative purposes, you will be assigned to a specific Ward Team, or to “any” if you prefer.

Get Involved by Registering as a Branch Volunteer

Registering as a "Branch Volunteer" is for us to control your contact details locally. That gives us the legal basis for our Officers and authorised volunteers to contact you as specified in the Privacy Notice below.
It includes your right to opt out at any time.

For admin purposes, you will be assigned to a specific Ward Team, or 'any'.

Use of This Form

Your name, email address, and ward are required. Ward can be set to 'any' if it is not applicable in your case.

They may be shared on a need-to-know basis.
If you work closely with other volunteers you will of course get to know each other as colleagues.

Your phone number and address are optional but may be useful. (we could use post code or street address to assign Ward, if you are unsure.)

This is a new form and the comment field may be used for anything it does not cover.
For example, s
ome volunteers prefer to share their full family name only with friends. Please enter it in full but tell us if you prefer first letter only

Get Involved Socially

Reformist.avif

We have our own virtual club called 'The Reformist'.

It is for a closed group of members, but allows you to get together to chat with other like-minded people. They are supporters of Reform UK Bracknell but need not be active workers. There are tables you can join a table to chat about various broad topics of interest.

There is a more serious side, essentially back rooms, which are reserved for Ward Teams and other groups to coordinate activities and share ideas.

Privacy Notice for Branch Contacts

Privacy

This notice explains how Reform UK Bracknell looks after volunteer information.
It sits alongside:
Privacy Policy - Reform UK, which covers how the Party handles data nationally,
and applies to all Branch activities.

Who is responsible for your data

For most activities, Reform UK Party Limited is the Data Controller, and this branch acts on behalf of the Party as part of the same controller.
Where the branch independently decides how and why volunteer information is used, the branch acts as an independent Data Controller for that specific purpose.
In this case the purpose is coordination or internal discussions, with and between, Branch level volunteers, including persons not otherwise registered as party Members or Supporters.

What information we collect

To organise local activities, we may collect:

  • your name

  • your email address

  • your phone number (if provided)

  • your volunteering interests or availability

  • information you share with us in emails or messages

How we use your information

We use Branch Volunteer information only for:

  • organising local activities

  • coordinating teams

  • sharing information relevant to volunteering

  • discussing local issues and priorities

  • supporting democratic‑engagement work

We may inform volunteers about local events, including fundraising events, but we do not use volunteer information to send you marketing or donation requests.

How we contact you

Email is our default and safest way to communicate with volunteers because it is organised, auditable, and allows us to share information securely. Phone numbers and messaging apps may be used when necessary for operational coordination, but only by authorised volunteers and only for Branch activities.

Our legal basis

We process Branch Volunteer information under:

  • Article 6(1)(e) – public task / democratic engagement

  • Article 9(2)(g) – substantial public interest (democratic engagement)

Who can access your information

Access is limited to Branch Officers and authorised volunteers who help coordinate activities.
We do not share volunteer information outside the Party unless required by law.

Your rights

You can ask to access, correct, or delete your information at any time.
If your request is about information held by the branch, contact us directly.
If it relates to information held nationally, contact Reform UK HQ as set out in the national Privacy Notice.
